Carol L. Andrews, M.D. attended the University of Utah School Of Medicine, graduating in 1989. She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Janet M. Glasgow Citation for Scholastic Achievement. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Utah and was board certified in 1994 by the American Board of Radiology.

She completed a clinical radiology fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Utah and a research fellowship in Radiologic Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology with ancillary appointments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the University of Maryland.

She took a faculty appointment at the University of Utah, serving as the Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology and, subsequently, accepted a faculty position at UCLA where she developed and directed the outpatient Spine Injection Service for the Department of Radiology. She was awarded the Leo G. Rigler Teacher of the Year during her tenure.

Dr. Andrews is an author and national lecturer in musculoskeletal and spine intervention topics with the International Spinal Interventional Society, North American Spinal Society, Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society. She is a reviewer for several journals including RadioGraphics, the American Journal of Roentgenology and Spine.

She serves on the Executive Board of the Society of Skeletal Radiologists and is an active member of many other organizations including the Radiological Society of North America and Association for Women Radiologists.
